Sa bahin sa Research and Development, ang division nagdumala og mga studies sa humay, mais, patatas, ug uban pang crops, lakip ang livestock research, ug nagpatuman og mga projects nga gi-finance sa Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR) sama sa TBI (Technology Business Incubation), i-Farm, CCMIA (Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation), APPA (Adapting Philippine Agriculture to Climate Change), ug CIPAR (Community Participatory Action Research).
Daghan na ang nakabenepisyo sa services sa Research Division, gikan sa mga walk-in clients nga nakadawat og planting materials, ngadto sa livestock distribution ug mga farmers associations nga nitabang sa product development ug enterprise.
Ang maong mga proyekto sama sa i-Farm nag-monitor sa corn production sa 36 ka barangay sa Malaybalay, samtang ang CCMIA, APPA, ug CIPAR nagtabang sa mga mag-uuma sa pag-atubang sa epekto sa climate change ug pag-introduce og bag-ong teknolohiya sa komunidad.
